🚨 Wrong-Way Driver Killed on GA 10 Loop
The Gist: A driver traveling the wrong direction on the GA 10 Inner Loop near Chase Street died in a crash just after midnight on Sunday, Dec. 21. The vehicle was heading toward Oglethorpe Avenue when the collision occurred, marking Athens' eighth fatal crash of 2025.
Why It Matters: This deadly stretch has claimed eight lives this year, a reminder to stay vigilant on local highways, especially late at night.

🏈 Two UGA Players Charged with Shoplifting
The Gist: Two Georgia football players were arrested Friday and charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting, according to Athens-Clarke County arrest records.
