This is more of a little deli-restaurant than a full-fledged restaurant. There's a few tables for 4, and two tables were pulled together to make a table for six. If the restaurant was full, maybe 15-20 people could be seated total. I admit, it was a much smaller place than we had expected from the website and other information online. Now that you'll know that up front, it won't surprise you like it did us. 😉👍🏻 When entering, you have a display case with some food (pasta, chicken, broccoli salads, etc.) on the left. The menu is on the wall behind the case and it lists what's available that day. The day we were there, the menu had three main dishes listed. There aren't any menus to look at otherwise. It's a very small, casual atmosphere where the owner takes your order and prepares it. She's very friendly and helpful, and cared a lot about questions we had. She patiently helped us order and explained everything we needed to know. All four in our party opted for the Basil Chicken Salad sandwiches with various sides. We all enjoyed everything we had.. EVERYONE cleaned their plate!! Drinks are by the can or bottle out of the refrigerator case. When you're done eating, you clear your own tray and toss your trash. We were all very relaxed and didn't feel rushed at all. Another party of diners came in and ate while we were there. Just from the business set-up and the small number of dine-in customers, we think Lindsey's is mostly a place people park, and pop in to pickup a pint of chicken salad, pimento-less salad, or any of the other available options for an easy at-home lunch or dinner. There's a small parking lot right beside Lindsey's, so parking was unexpectedly easy. All of us agreed, we loved the food and won't hesitate to eat it again. It'll be a great option for picking up pints for a picnic anytime we're going to go hang out at a park or other event.

Absolutely delicious and exactly what we were looking for! We were welcomed with such warmth and everything she was cooking looked incredible. We got a chicken salad & side of green bean & peach salad (pictured) and shrimp salad & side of orzo pasta (not pictured). We were visiting from out of town and definitely worth a stop back just for another bite to eat of her tasty food!

We enjoyed two delicious meals, and this is a sweet little local place not to be missed while in Athens. I got the salad with fresh greens and Thai noodles while my wife got the shrimp sandwich and also the Thai noodles. Both were quite yummy, and I see LOTS of folks love that shrimp sandwich. The noodles were delish! The severs were efficient and cheerful setting the place up just as we arrived, taking and serving catering orders and still getting our meals to us quickly. I was impressed.
