Main Art Building

The Main Art Building houses the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, located at 270 River Road on UGA's east campus in Athens, GA. The eco conscious building features state of the art studios with dedicated spaces for faculty and graduate students across multiple artistic disciplines. As the central creative facility for one of the South's most respected art programs, the building supports undergraduate studio art and BFA degrees, graduate programs including MFA, MAEd, EdS, and PhD tracks, art education and art history programs, and community art programming. The building also contains the Art Library, which serves as a research resource for students and faculty. The Main Art Building sits in a cluster of UGA's arts facilities, near the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, the Performing Arts Center, and the Georgia Museum of Art, creating a concentrated arts corridor on east campus. Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., closed on weekends, university holidays, and game days.
