About Osteria Olio

Osteria Olio brings modern Italian cooking to Athens with a level of craft and care that stands out even in a city full of good restaurants. Located within the Rivet House development on Oneta Street, the restaurant has quickly established itself as one of the best Italian dining experiences in Georgia. The menu is driven by the seasons and built around handmade pasta, wood fired pizza, and antipasti that showcase high quality ingredients prepared with real technique. The pasta program is the centerpiece. Everything is made from scratch in house, and the difference is immediately obvious. The sauces are balanced, the textures are right, and the portions are generous enough to leave you satisfied without overwhelming the plate. Wood fired pizzas provide a more casual option, but they receive the same attention to detail that the rest of the menu demands. The wine list leans Italian, as you would expect, with selections that pair naturally with the food. The cocktail program adds a creative complement. The dining room is beautiful, with a design that feels contemporary but warm, and the atmosphere strikes a balance between lively and comfortable. This is not a hushed fine dining room. It is a place where conversation flows easily and the energy of the room adds to the experience. Osteria Olio serves dinner Monday through Sunday, with brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are strongly recommended, particularly for Friday and Saturday evenings. The Oneta Street location is a short drive from downtown Athens. Pricing is moderate for the quality level, sitting comfortably in the $$ range with most entrees and pastas in the mid teens to low twenties.

We went here for dinner and had a lovely time. The focaccia with ricotta and honey was wonderfully balanced, and the cacio e pepe was perfectly done. The meatballs were good, and I would be hard pressed to say how they could have been better. The only problem we encountered was one of the bombolini in the basket was almost completely uncooked. I would absolutely recommend coming here for the amazing food.

Went there for our friend's rehearsal dinner. All dishes came out looked good. Since dinner was served family style (not served individually but served in the middle of the table) and some server did not placed food at one end, between the guest, rather than setting them where everyone can reach. All served foods were great. Drinks came very slow. Maybe smaller party is better option for service??? Will try again.

What a gem! Out of the way and so beautiful! The staff is attentive but not intrusive. The food is perfect, delicious, seasoned just right. Enjoyed the polpete that had just a little spicy kick. Sunchokes and Brussels were beautifully cooked-portions were generous. Topped out off with the Torte de Pere... Chocolate with spiced Pear. Yummy cocktail that tasted like a cinnamon Christmas!! Can't wait to come back!
